1. OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHEME
To encourage the exchange and updating of scientific information and knowledge among members of the university community in the Balearic Islands by means of young Ph.D. holders from other foreign universities or research centres staying at that university.
2. REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
Applications may be submitted by lecturers and researchers who carry out their teaching and/or research work in one of the UIB's departments or university institutes.
The candidates must be young Ph.D. holders (who defended their doctoral thesis after 2004) who have an excellent CV and carry out their professional work in foreign universities or research centres.

4. SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS
The last day on which applications may be submitted is June 10th.

The period in which the visit will take place is the second semester of 2011.

Documents to be submitted:
- Application form.
- A copy of the visiting researcher's passport.
- The visiting researcher's CV in standardised or similar format.
- A report on the work intended to be carried out during the visit.
Visiting researchers must also present written permission from their home institution for their visit upon arrival at the UIB.
5. APPLICATION FORM

The instructions are as follows:
- Use the form which opens in a separate window when you click here Link to Form.
- Click on the "Enviar sol·licitud" button at the bottom of the form. If it is sent correctly, click on the "Imprimeix sol·licitud" link at the end of the "Sol·licitud enviada" message.
- Finally, submission of the printed copy must be recorded in the UIB official record book, signed, with the stated documents attached that could not be attached electronically.

6. ASSESSMENT
Applications will be assessed by the Research Support Office's Assessment Committee according to the scale set out in the regulations.
